What is the Apprenticeship Levy?

  • The Apprenticeship Levy is a charge that will apply to all large organisations with an annual payroll of over £3million
  • It is payable whether an organisation employ’s Apprentices or not.
  • The amount payable equates to 0.5% of the organisation’s payroll costs.
  • However, organisations will not pay the first £15,000 of the Levy, which means that the Levy will only be payable if your payroll exceeds £3 million per year.
