Dealing with the unexpected

28/11/2016

Life is full of twists and turns, indeed all the planning and preparation in the world won’t guarantee everything goes to plan.

From the perspective of managing learners, problems can include “lost” applications, learner non-attendance and issues with paperwork / sign-off.  However, a well-designed learner support infrastructure can help to minimise the frequency of this type of problem.

Difficulties can also arise following changes to funding rules and the criteria by which learners are accepted, which is why we work with our clients to ensure we have maximum visibility of any “known” changes before they happen, and can plan accordingly.

And whilst “organisational failure” is rare, our connections within the education industry has recently enabled us to rescue one training provider from what could have been a catastrophic loss, by quickly finding an alternate prime who not only had the headroom but were willing to take on their learners after the previous prime had ceased trading unexpectedly.

Contract failure is not an acceptable outcome for anyone, which is why we make ourselves available to our clients whenever they need us in order to help prevent this whenever possible.
